SPECTRUM WORLD

Koshish, our debut music video, captures a complex mix of emotions, encompassing frustration, despair, existential questioning, and a deep longing for understanding and relief from the burdens of life.

The song expresses a deep sense of frustration, determination, and disillusionment. The singer conveys a relentless effort to achieve a goal. Yet, despite their unwavering determination, passion, and efforts, they cannot reach their destination, facing constant obstacles, defeat, and setbacks. Although the singer uses the word "friend," they address God, sharing their struggles and seeking understanding. The mention of struggling against "earthquakes and floods" metaphorically emphasises the magnitude of the challenges faced. The singer's fearlessness in defeat contrasts sharply with their weariness and longing for happiness and peace. The line "Why did you give the greed for victory?" implies a sense of betrayal or questioning of external influences that might have misled them into desiring victory at any cost.

The singer grapples with a sense of helplessness and confusion. They reflect on the philosophical concept of fate, questioning whether a higher power predestines and controls catastrophes and failures. They struggle with the idea that everything, including dreams and desires, is given and taken away arbitrarily, leading to a profound sense of disillusionment and unforgiveness.

The song also reflects a sense of hopelessness and stagnation. The singer feels paralyzed, unable to move forward, and even afraid of pursuing their dreams. The repeated refrain, "What do I do?" highlights their helplessness and confusion in adversity. Under deep emotional conflict, the singer seems torn between a desire for self-reliance and a need for understanding and intervention from a higher power. There is a sense of betrayal and abandonment as they feel burdened by sorrow and crushed by life's challenges despite not asking for anything. The internal struggle is palpable, with the singer's mind being afraid of expectations and plagued by anger.

Ultimately, despite the singer's anguish and doubt, they draw comfort from experiencing and knowing that their efforts and perseverance are not in vain; God is on their side.
